REALITY CHECK
Love Island star washes ashore for San Antonio nightclub event

Jeremiah Brown is coming to San Antonio.
Jeremiah Brown may have fallen victim to Ace Green's machinations on Love Island USA, but his post-show career is just starting. The reality heartthrob will strut his stuff at San Antonio's 1902 Nightclub on Saturday, July 12, in what's sure to be a sold-out appearance.
The Peacock series, based on a U.K. series, follows the often spicy adventures of a group of single contestants forced to couple or be thrown out of a luxurious beachside villa. Throughout the show, the "bombshells" are asked whether they want to stay with their current partners or woo a new islander.
Any islander who remains single after the sometimes convenient couplings is booted from the island, entering a real world where skimpy swimsuits may not be regarded as suitable daywear. Islanders can also be eliminated via public vote before one winning couple wins the $100,000 prize.
Obviously, the titillating combination of drama and fit bodies has made it one of the summer's biggest hits.
Brown, a model for brands like New Balance and True Religion, was ousted on the June 22 episode after surviving 16 days on the island. Many fans were shocked by the sudden elimination, but the 25-year-old told Variety he was less than nonplussed.
"I had a feeling in my gut," he shared with the publication. "It reaffirmed what I already had in my head. No matter what path I chose, it was an issue."
Locals who want to console the hunky reality star can pony up for a $108 meet-and-greet, which comes with preferred access and a professional shot. It's unclear precisely what else Brown will be doing at the 18-and-older event. Perhaps he learned some close-up magic while licking his wounds.
General admission tickets to the event, featuring beats by DJ Henny K, are $30. 1902 Nightclub is located at 1174 E. Commerce St. in St. Paul Square. Doors open at 10 pm. Love Island's finale streams Sunday, July 13 — sans Brown.
