Actor Jared Padalecki spats with H-E-B's Favor over delivery mix-up

H-E-B’s Favor delivery app is in hot water with Jared Padalecki. The Supernatural star, who lives in Austin, took to X on January 4 to rant about a botched sushi order. Celebrities, they’re just like us.
The kerfuffle happened when the actor decided to order some grub while recovering from a broken leg. Only half of the order arrived, and, well, Padalecki wasn’t exactly pleased. He contacted the driver to recover his missing rolls.
“So, my Favor delivery driver went BACK to the restaurant (the other half of my order was still there), and tried to grab it to deliver it to me,” explained the Walker actor in an expletive-laden post. “He called his Favor bosses (he was on speakerphone, and the hostess at the restaurant heard every word of the conversation and recounted it to me) and they told him to NOT deliver the remainder of my order to me, even though I had already paid and tipped in full.”
If the motivation was to spur a boycott, Padalecki’s parasocial fans didn’t bite. Although some were quick to share their own customer service frustrations, most were more concerned with the actor’s injury — posting gifs, AI-generated graphics of golden retrievers, and even Christmas presents like a Supernatural-themed Funko Pop figurine.
“Of course I’m sorry about your food — but I’m far more concerned about how you broke your leg, what this means for the movie, and why DoorDash isn’t already handling this,” wrote one commenter, seemingly confusing Texas-based Favor with another delivery app.
The Gilmore Girls heartthrob is no stranger to using social media’s bully pulpit. In 2014, Padalecki targeted Fort Worth-based American Airlines, claiming the company’s customer service sickened him.
And in 2016, he railed against a Minneapolis restaurant called Constantine, posting a photo of the server he claimed gave him the “worst service of his life.” The incident reportedly caused the eatery to be bombarded with one-star reviews and to deactivate its Facebook page.
Whether the hissy fit earned him a refund or an extra California roll is anyone’s guess. The star didn’t follow up on his frustrating moment, and an email to Favor’s media inbox bounced back.
