Get lost in the retelling of this classic fairytale complete with master puppetry during opening weekend of Pinocchio at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $28.

H-E-B Cinema on the Plaza presents Nacho Libre
Pack up the lawn chairs and blankets and head to this screening of the hilarious Luchador flick Nacho Libre. This free movie is the perfect plan for a wallet-friendly weekend outing. While outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, a full bar and concessions are available onsite.

Housecore Horror Festival
Get amped for a weekend of horror films and heavy metal. Attendees of the three-day festival can get their fill of horror cinema and live metal music for budget-friendly prices. The Aztec Theatre will feature screenings of zombie flicks, Grindhouse movies, and more. Musical acts set to perform include Goblin and Suffocation. Snag a single-day pass for $50 to $60 or a three-day pass for $150 to $175.

Hotel Havana presents Musica En La Calle
Travel to Ocho at Hotel Havana for the third annual Musica En La Calle. The two-day fiesta will include performances by musical acts Tameca, DJ Steve Lee Moya, Gina Chavez, and more. Snack on food and drinks from Ocho in between musical acts and shop local vendors. Admission is free.
