The magical tale of unlikely friendships and the power of true love comes to life on the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts stage. Ballet San Antonio recreates Beauty and the Beast with elaborate costumes, transformative sets, and a heartwarming message. Performances through October 21.
Paula Poundstone in concert
Comedian Paula Poundstone brings her signature humor to the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre. Best known for her current role on NPR’s weekly comedy news quiz, Wait, Wait ... Don’t Tell Me!, the preeminent comedian has also appeared on shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Star Talk with Neil deGrasse Tyson. Poundstone’s disarming and smart delivery style coupled with her improv skills have made her a comedy favorite.

Traders Village San Antonio presents Dia de los Muertos: The Day of the Dead
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with the entire family at Traders Village. Event activities will include a parade, altars, artists, dancing, and other entertainment. Guests are encouraged to come in their favorite Dia de los Muertos costumes and join the parade route. No costume? No problem! Upon entry, all guests will have the opportunity to make their own masks to participate in the festivities in style. Admission is free.
San Antonio Beer Festival
San Antonio’s original beer festival returns for another year of craft brews, unique casks, and good vibes at Dignowity Park and Lockwood Park. Attendees can enjoy more than 450 premium and craft beers from around the world including porters, stouts, ales, wheats, lagers, pilsners, Belgians, ciders, and more. Additional activities include music, games, food trucks, local vendors, and more. Admission is for those 21 and up with a valid ID.
