Traders Village presents Sunflower Field
Embrace nature during Texas sunflower season in a field of the beloved bright yellow blooms. Guests can explore 10 acres of various kinds of sunflowers, get “lost” in a maze, enjoy the petting zoo, and pose for beautiful photo opportunities. The field at Traders Village is open with purchase of an entry ticket through July 3.

The Latino Bookstore welcomes Salvadoran author Claudia Castro Luna in support of her new book, Cipota Under the Moon. Attendees will get the opportunity to meet the author and get a signed copy of the book during the intimate evening of discussion. Writer and activist Tony Diaz will host the book launch festivities. Admission is free and open to the public.
Tower of the Americas presents Party on the Plaza
Unwind and kick off the holiday weekend at Tower of the Americas. Party on the Plaza continues with another Friday night of live, local music and fun. This week’s musical guest is the Chris Boss Band. Food offerings will be available to keep you fueled up as you dance the night away. Admission is free and open to the public.

The San Antonio Parks Foundation presents The Official City of San Antonio H-E-B Fourth of July Celebration
Celebrate America’s birthday with a good, old-fashioned fireworks show against the backdrop of Woodlawn Lake Park’s night sky. Prior to the illuminated showing of patriotism, guests can enjoy an evening program featuring the Welcome Salute and a live performance by the U.S. Air Force Band of the West. The fireworks display will begin at 9 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for the best viewing experience. Admission is free and open to the public.
