Trinity University continues to shine among top universities in Texas

The spotlight on Trinity University continues to shine bright. Personal finance website WalletHub has released its 2019's Best College & University Rankings, just in time for the November 1 “early decision” college application deadline.
Trinity took the No. 3 spot in Texas, just behind Rice University (No. 1) and the University of Texas at Austin (No. 2). Overall, Trinity ranked 85th in the entire country.
In order to determine the rankings, WalletHub compared 951 colleges and universities across seven key dimensions: student selectivity, cost and financing, faculty resources, campus safety, campus experience, educational outcomes, and career outcomes.
Trinity ranked near "best" in the admission rate, student-faculty ratio, graduation rate, and post-attendance median salary categories, and "average" in the gender and racial diversity. The study also ranked it near "worst" for on-campus crime.
Rounding out the top Texas schools are Texas A&M University (No. 4), Southern Methodist University (No. 5), Southwestern University (No. 6), University of Dallas (No. 7), LeTourneau University (No. 8), Baylor University (No. 9), and University of Texas at Dallas (No. 10).
Rice is in rather prestigious company on the national list, coming in behind the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Yale University, Harvard University, California Institute of Technology, Duke University, University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University. Stanford is No. 10.
