The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center will celebrate Día de los Muertos with a theatre/dance performance by the Guadalupe Mariachi Academy, Dance Company, and Dance Academy. The original multidisciplinary production involves traditional and contemporary music and dance where the mythological land of the dead is brought to life with fantastical characters, colorful imagery, and elaborate costuming. The storyline interweaves traditional themes of family, friends, and love with myths and legends told through the generations.
The celebration will also include an array of original altars open to the public that same evening at the Progreso Community Gallery.
