In "Imagine This…Child Please," Don Stewart brings together a vivid body of improvisational, surreal imagery shaped by a lifetime of experience, inviting viewers into a lively exchange between imagination, observation, and interpretation.

The artist talk will be moderated by Dr. Scott A. Sherer, Professor of Art History at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Director of Exhibitions, and Coordinator of the UTSA Museum Studies Minor.

Sherer’s interdisciplinary research and curatorial work focus on modern and contemporary art and visual culture, examining the relationship between lived sensory experience and artistic representation. The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience four decades of Don Stewart’s creative output in a single, comprehensive presentation.
