Americans in Italy features brand new works by American composers Jennifer Jolley, Elliott Myles McKinley, Peter Farmer and Luke Dahn. SOLI will represent San Antonio at the festival as its Ensemble-in-Residence plus additional concerts, performing some of the exceptional chamber music. During the festival, the Ensemble will premiere and record 12 new works, written specifically for the ensemble by Festival Fellows, and feature some of those Fellows on their 2018-19, 25th Anniversary Season in San Antonio.
The May 14 performance will be at Jazz TX, while the May 15 performance will take place at Ruth Taylor Recital Hall on the Trinity University campus.
