The San Antonio Chamber Choir will present a bit of theatre and music that has excited audiences throughout the ages. Actors Anna Gangai and Allan Ross will set the scenes from various Shakespearean plays. This will be followed with choral music using the same text from The Merchant of Venice, Sonnet 18, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Macbeth.
This includes Ralph Vaughan Williams setting of Serenade to Music, Full Fathom Five, The Cloud-Capp’d Towers; as well as Jaakko Mäntyrärvi’s setting of Come Away, Death and Double Trouble, and Frank Martin’s settings of Songs of Ariel.
Performances will take place in Tobin Center's Feik Family Rotunda.
