The San Antonio Art League + Museum will present the unveiling of "Art Is a Stone’s Throw Away," a new permanent installation of stones leading to the entrance of SAAL+M. Each stone is a creation by an artist who contributed to the mission of SAAL+M: to preserve and exhibit or collection of local and regional art, while promoting art through exhibitions, lectures and related activities.
The project honors members with a lasting tribute to their artistic spirit and dedication to SAAL+M. The honored SAAL+M Artists are Andre Bally, Virginia Bally, Elaine Bornemeier, Ilna Colemere, Billy Keen, Lyn Belisle Kurtin, Claudia Langford, Terry Gay Puckett, Patsy Sasek, Steven Smith, Stefani Job Spears, Dr. Mary Beth Swofford, Peter Szarmach, and Dona LeCrone Walston.
