These artworks attempt to establish a personal, yet universal, language and expression of color, balance, composition and texture, all components of the tradition of formality in painting. The juxtapositions of color and texture combine the roots of my earlier tape paintings with pure paint. Conceptually these paintings are an attempt to make art that holds a soft and gentle pallet and serve as places of peace and meditation in the midst of a tumultuous and uncertain world.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through June 22.
