The abstract wood cut forms include movement of expressive color painted on dynamic graffiti-inspired shapes. The lines of the work are the lines that create the arches and curls in letters and the lines that move the crest into a wave.  The creative impulse also comes from graffiti art. Even though the shapes are inspired by letters and free-form, they don't spell or say anything literal.  The color scheme of the work is inspired by urban or street art color and I use it so it gives confirmation to the movement or flow in the composition.  The paint is applied by using a palette knife which gives the surface of my paintings a textured quality.

Following the opening reception, the exhibition runs until July 1.
