The Overtime Theater will present Overtime Virtual Theater, in which they'll share both new and old productions online.

Summer virtual offerings

  • Overtime Cabaret: From Home - The show will have the same flair, talent and variety as the in-person version with four shows featuring music, poetry, comedy, and dancing. This is a donation event broadcasting live from The Overtime Theater's Facebook Page. Donations can be made throughout the show or at the OT Virtual Box Office. Livestreams will be offered weekly, September 19-October 10.
  • Nightingale by Jules Vaquera and Dan Timoskevich - An original award-winning musical with jazz and bluesy tunes. It’s Penny Virtue’s last night at the Cauldron, the hottest jazz and blues venue in the city, and now her husband Luther is faced with a dilemma: find a new lead act or quit the business. When a new “nightingale” Ayla lands on the scene the Cauldron threatens to boil over. What will happen? Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Nightingale, this musical proves that old stories never die…they just find hotter venues. Available on-demand anytime.
  • An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe by Derek Berlin - An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe won multiple awards from the Alamo Theatre Arts Council. The story takes us inside Poe's dream state, sharing the writer's life story. From Purgatory, Poe spins his last haunting ghosts of thought: a personal tale of pain, sorrow, and the desire for his soul's redemption. Available on-demand anytime.
  • Ride the Musical by Rachel Roth and Dan Timoskevich - The 2019 award-winning musical tells a story of a taxi driver named Stockton (Robert Moritz) who’s underwater on his taxi medallion due to competition from rideshare companies. He and his daughter, Jess (Amie Rose), are struggling to make ends meet. She wants to go to acting school and he’s trying to keep them from being evicted. Powerful, moving ballads and snappy upbeat songs are woven into the storyline by Roth and Timoskevich. Available on-demand anytime.
