The National Arab Orchestra Takht Ensemble will host two performances, featuring seven world-class musicians and national vocalist Usama Baalbaki conducted by Michael Ibrahim, NAO Music Director and talented nay (flute) player. Building Bridges through Music is a DreamWeek event and seeks to raise public awareness of unity as a community through diversity.
The concert showcases Middle Eastern choir and dance repertoire. Karen Barbee, local choreographer and owner of Karavan Studio, and three of her dance colleagues will perform. Also, the NAO will premiere their newly established local youth choir, NAO Community Choir of San Antonio.
