La Villita will be transformed into “Olde Englande” during the second annual Shakespeare in the Park: Renaissance on the River. The Renaissance festival offers entertainment for all ages, including artisans, magicians, jugglers, fire-eaters, swordsmen, singers, dancers and a children’s area.
The Magik Theatre brings Shakespeare back to the Arneson River Theatre, this year offering Much Ado About Nothing and Twelfth Night on consecutive weekends. Renaissance on the River will run November 18-20, coinciding with Twelfth Night.
Much Ado About Nothing, running November 10-13 (no performance on Veteran’s Day, Friday, November 11), the production comes to the Arneson direct from a run at the Northwest Vista College Outdoor Amphitheater and features a mix of professional and student actors.
The Arkansas Shakespeare Company will present award-winning production of Twelfth Night November 18-20. Donations accepted with a portion of proceeds benefiting The Magik Theatre.
