Bonaventure’s Pauper’s Bible and History of Alexander the Great, both 15th century, a 1793 version of Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations, and a mixed The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbons, including first editions. Many of the texts are very desirable and fit well into the classic western library such as John Dryden’s translation of the works of Virgil, and Sir Walter Raleigh’s History of the World.
Works like these influenced the founding fathers in their creation of our great Union and helped to form the foundation for the world as we know it today. They are held in great libraries throughout the world and seldom seen outside of their confines.
