The Heart of Texas Concert Band Talent Showcase will feature guest artist Paul Cohen, who will perform "Elegy for English Horn and Band," by Jack Stamp, on the Conn-o-sax; and the premiere or re-premiere of "Valse Caprice," for Alto Saxophone and Concert Band, one of the lost works of Herbert L. Clark.
The concert will also feature the premiere of "Zatarra, Fantasy Overture," by composer Marty Hill; "Australian Up-Country Tune," by Percy Aldridge Grainger, conducted by Darion Campbell; "American Hymnsong Suite," by Dwayne S. Milburn, led by Michael Casas; "Children’s March, Over the Hills and Far Away," by Percy Grainger, edited by R Mark Rogers, directed by Benjamin Grabber; and "It Is Well," by Jason Nitsch, directed by Thomas Esperiqueta.
