Esperanza is coming together with the Lopez children to honor the vibrant spirit and profound influence of the legendary cantante, Beatríz Llamas, "La Paloma del Norte." Though she passed in 2023, her impact on Tejano music continues to inspire generations.

The evening celebrates her roots in local talent competitions by offering girls and women (ages 10+) a unique platform to shine, just as Beatríz did in the 1950s at the Alameda, Nacional, and Zaragoza theaters. The night is packed with a vocal competition showcasing diverse talent, a performance by Palo Alto College Mariachi Palomino, and the announcement and awarding of prizes to competition winners.
