The 33rd Annual Red Dot Art Sale celebrates the work of over 100 San Antonio-based artists. It will honor artist Cathy Cunningham-Little, arts patron Andi Rodriguez, and Arts Education Champions—the MOSAIC students, who designed the graphics for the invitation. In addition, Red Dot will have an online presence through a special partnership with the San Antonio-based social marketplace and augmented reality startup, Kaleido.
New to Red Dot this year is a partnership with Kaleido, a San Antonio-based burgeoning art tech startup offering artists and collectors a social marketplace with augmented reality capabilities. Guests at the show will be able to utilize the AR to hear directly from artists about their work, and collectors who purchase a piece can take this AR experience home with them.
With works available for sale to accommodate a wide variety of tastes and budgets, the proceeds from the art sales benefit both artists and Contemporary at Blue Star’s year-round exhibitions, along with its expansive, no-cost art education programs. These programs aim to inspire, nurture, and innovate through contemporary art.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through January 9.
