Dazzling costumes, whimsical sets, and Tchaikovsky's beloved score come to life in the classic holiday favorite with a youthful twist, The Children’s Nutcracker. The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio’s family-friendly production features a talented cast of nearly 200 young artists, ranging in age from 3 to 19 and including award-winning classical dancers, gifted special needs artists, and many other exceptional young children through a collaborative partnership with local mariachi bands, choirs, and other outstanding musicians.
The production follows the tale of the Nutcracker with merrymaking mariachis and a traditional posada worked into the storyline as a nod to San Antonio’s Tricentennial.
