An enchanting tale filled with all the wonders of the season, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker has been captivating the hearts and minds of audiences for decades. And while young dancers interpreting the beloved tale of Clara, the Nutcracker, and the Sugar Plum Fairy remain, the Children’s Ballet of San Antonio continues to broaden the ballet’s appeal with Broadway-style entertainment including singing, acting dialogue, a range of dance styles, and thrills like aerial acrobatics in its shortened 1.5 hour performance.

International superstars Aliaksandra Krukava and Nurlan Kinerbayev will join the young artists. And for the first time, the newly launched CBSA II Professional Division will raise the bar for a special Saturday evening performance.

When guests enter the theatre, they will discover themselves in a festive holiday market where they can browse the extensive selection of dress-up items, including tutus and Sugarplum Fairy wands, Mouse King swords, as well as home décor including ornaments and, of course, nutcrackers. Santa and key cast members will be on hand for photos and there will be plenty of holiday fare, including cocoa, holiday cookies, and other seasonal favorites. The holiday market opens one hour prior to showtime.
