COSA will perform 20th Century Icons to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Argentinian composer, Alberto Ginastera, and feature contemporaneous composers. The program will include Aaron Copland’s Two Pieces for Chamber Orchestra, Rudolf Barshai’s arrangement of Dmitri Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony Op. 110, the Ginastera Concerto for Strings, as well as a piece for the San Antonio Chamber Choir, Ginastera’s “The Lamentations of Jeremiah.”
