Centro Cultural Aztlan will present "FotoSeptiembre: Celebrating Latino Culture and Community," a photography exhibition curated by Dr. Ricardo Romo.

Over the years, photography has served as a powerful tool for preserving the history, identity, and spirit of San Antonio’s Latino community. The images of "FotoSeptiembre: Celebrating Latino Culture and Community" captures everyday life, important events, and cultural traditions, tangible and intangible, creating a visual archive that complements written records.

Iconic images of social movements, migrations, and daily experiences shape public memory and deepen understanding. Photographs in this exhibit also document fleeting moments, festivals, rituals, and personal expressions, offering insight into community values and identity. By making these aspects visible and relatable, photography connects insiders and outsiders alike to the richness of Latino story.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through September 25.
