Cactus Pear Music Festival: "Off the Cuff"

"Off the Cuff" opens with the passionate virtuoso "Ballade for Cello and Piano" by the Black English composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, performed by Kostov and Sykes. Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel is represented with the first CPMF performance of her "Piano Trio in D minor." The second half of this program opens with "Concerto for Piano Trio and Percussion" by the Asian-American composer Kenji Bunch. The program concludes with Leonard Bernstein’s "Symphonic Dances from West Side Story" arranged for two pianos and two percussionists.
