The Briscoe Museum’s Pony Express Love Letters returns to spread the love across San Antonio and beyond, bringing back the art of traditional correspondence. This community program allows visitors to stop by the Museum during regular hours to craft a personal love letter on a vintage typewriter or with calligraphy pens.
Writing stations include books of poetry designed to foster romantic expression, a variety of stationary choices, and even Valentine’s Mad Libs for a light-hearted touch. All the collected letters will be hand-delivered for free to loved ones - by bicycle messenger on February 14, like a modern day Pony Express, if they are in the downtown area - or by postal service outside of Central San Antonio. Each letter will be marked with the Briscoe Museum’s very own Pony Express stamp and include discount passes for the Museum.
