Bihl Haus Arts will present "The Process of Becoming a Butterfly," an exhibition celebrating the Palacio de Palomas Westside Art Collective.
The group exhibition, curated by Bihl Haus Arts educator and artist Liz Gomez, features 10 multidisciplinary artists whose work embodies transformation, identity, and collective healing. Rooted in the spirit of metamorphosis, "The Process of Becoming a Butterfly" will showcase how to reflect on personal and communal change.
The exhibition highlights works by Liz Gomez, Papi Culo, Cristina Sosa Noriega, Patricia Yznaga, Laura Yohualtlahuiz, Red Rojas, Emily A. Stone, Wild Honey Pot, Jiahana Ornales, and Sy, all artists-in-residence at Palacio de Palomas, a Westside art collective and studio founded by Cristina Sosa Noriega.
The collective serves as a creative home for queer, trans, nonbinary, femme, and BIPOC artists committed to reimagining what community care and art-making can look like in San Antonio.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on view through December 6.
