The artworks in this exhibition, organized by Wounded Warrior and participating artist Mario Lopez, have been created by veterans who have served in various branches of the military during the Vietnam War and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. These veteran artists have been recognized with valor and meritorious awards including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and numerous service ribbons. The exhibition also introduces selected works created by veterans enrolled in the new Bihl Haus Forward, Arts! program taught by Russell Stephenson.
Featured artists include Guy Banta, MD, Gerardo ‘Ghost’ Casares, Brandi Hartigan, Katherine Hopkins, Paul Kahl Jr., George Lamson, Natalie Lopez, Roger Price, Lionel Sosa, Cody Vance, Roy Villarreal and Michael Wright. Opening reception includes light appetizers by the pool and music by alternative rock band Three Beards, featuring veteran and songwriter Hank Barbe.
