Artpace San Antonio presents their next Hudson Showroom exhibition, "Shopping for Bargains/My Mother Taught Me to Shop," by San Antonio artist Kathy Vargas. The exhibition reveals the ever-growing cost consumer culture has placed on its workers and how this practice often rewards unethical capitalistic tendencies, all in the name of fashion.
Vargas returns to Artpace 26 years after her participation in Artpace’s International Artist-in-Residence program residency and exhibition.
The exhibition will remain on view through May 19, 2024.
