Low-cost airline adds 6 new nonstop flights to San Antonio roster
Getting out of town just got a little easier. Frontier Airlines is introducing six new nonstop flights to San Antonio International Airport.
Nonstop service from New Orleans, Phoenix, and San Diego will take off in October 2017. Introductory fares for one-way tickets, which go on sale Tuesday, July 18, start as low as $34.
New flights to Cincinnati; Orlando, Florida; and San Jose, California, will launch in time for spring 2018 travel. Ticket information for these flights has not yet been released.
"We have focused attention to adding service to the unserved markets of Cincinnati and San Jose for some time. These new nonstop flights will have a tremendous positive impact on business and tourism between all three cities," says Russ Handy, aviation director for the City of San Antonio, in a release.
The Alamo City service is part of the low-cost airline's major expansion in which Frontier added 21 new destinations and more than doubled its number of total routes.
"We project this will save our customers over a billion dollars annually on their flights. These new flights will allow us to serve even more of America and make flying a truly affordable option," says Barry Biffle, president and CEO for Frontier Airlines.
