New Braunfels lassos Texas Roadhouse for new shopping center
New Braunfels' Creekside Town Center is about to get a lot more Texan. The shopping center is adding Texas Roadhouse to its dining offerings, with an expected 8,000-square-foot restaurant expecting completion by the end of 2024.
The American steakhouse has earned fame for its steak and barbecue dishes, fresh-baked rolls, and signature honey cinnamon butter, which has inspired many "copycat" recipes online. According to the restaurant's website, every location contains an in-house butcher that cuts the steaks that are then served to guests.
NewQuest Properties vice president Kevin Sims, whose company owns the Creekside Town Center, said in a press release that Texas Roadhouse was a "great fit" because of its affordability and wide menu offerings.
"Texas Roadhouse is a moderately priced dining option for residents and tourists visiting Creekside," Sims said. "It has a broader-appealing menu that pairs well with the other fast-casual concepts in our development."
Despite being named for the Lone Star State, Texas Roadhouse was actually founded in Clarksville, Indiana in 1993. Its popularity led to the expansion of the chain nationally, and progressed further outside the U.S. with franchises now operating in 10 total countries.
Much closer to home, the forthcoming New Braunfels Texas Roadhouse will be supported by one of the largest retail centers situated between Austin and San Antonio, making it a prime spot for travelers, tourists, and locals alike.
According to the release, the businesses operating in the Creekside Town Center are predominantly national brands, including Best Buy, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, and many more. Other dining options at the shopping center include P.F. Chang's, Longhorn Steakhouse, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and more.
