San Antonio interior designer unveils DIY style kits for home makeovers
DIY design divas, do you feel like the dated and sad style of your home’s bathrooms should just be flushed down the toilet? Is the No. 1 problem with your lavatory that it’s not got the best seat in the house? Is your washroom’s style is all washed up? There’s still hope, thanks to an innovative new product line created by a San Antonio interior designer.
Shawna Percival, founder of Styleberry Creative Interiors, has launched what she calls a fail-safe way to get that professionally designed look in your home — without hiring an interior designer. Her new Sourced Design Kits give DIY designers everything they need to renovate their homes at a fraction of the cost of hiring a design team, but with the same sophisticated, timeless, and fresh aesthetic.
With Percival noting they are the first product of their kind in the U.S., the new Sourced Design Kits currently feature bathroom-specific designs, but Percival plans to roll out kitchen design kits as well. All kits are available nationwide through the Styleberry Creative website.
“After a decade of renovating my own homes and the homes of clients, I had my lightbulb moment,” Percival says. “There needed to be an easier way for everyday list makers and action takers to renovate their homes — without having to pay for expensive professional design.”
The bathroom Sourced Design Kits are currently available in four core styles — Miera, Hudson, Elodie, and Stratford — and are only available for a limited time, as Percival plans to retire designs each quarter in favor of highlighting new styles. With four new mood boards released each quarter, Styleberry Creative will offer a total of 16 design kits each year.
Design kits run $595 each and all include:
- A rendering to help DIYers get a full sense of the finished space, along with a flat-lay mood board.
- A shopping list that includes every item needed to create the room, with both splurge and save options. Brands on the shopping list include Kohler, Target, Cb2, Mitzi, Caesarstone, Rejuvenation, and West Elm.
- A renovation guide book, an info-packed PDF to help users make smart selections from the shopping list based on their specific bathroom, budget, and needs, so DIYers can confidently lead and manage their renovation.
- A spec book to record final sections for each item or material, which helps eliminate guesswork during ordering and installation. Ideally, users can hand over the spec book to a general contractor and they’ll know exactly what to do.
Additionally, design kit customers will get access to a live Q&A with Percival each quarter.
“I believe a homeowner can do anything with a plan, the right tools, and the confidence to succeed, and that is exactly what each and every design kit gives you,” Percival says. “The only missing ingredient is a strong, take-charge person to bring the design to life.”
