Dallas native Stephanie Allmon Merry's journalism career began as the editor of The Daily Campus at Southern Methodist University. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in journalism, she completed a Pulliam Fellowship at the Indianapolis Star and News, then moved back to Texas to be a features writer and editor at the Waco Tribune-Herald. Her career landed her back in DFW, where she spent 13 years as a writer and editor for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's award-winning Life & Arts section and Indulge luxury magazine. Stephanie has won national writing awards from the Society for Features Journalism. She co-authored the book I Can Do This: The Bloody Mary Story and taught freelance writing classes at Texas Christian University. Stephanie is managing editor for CultureMap's Dallas and Fort Worth editions.
