San Antonians who have been waiting to buy a high quality Dutch oven or stock up on other enameled cast iron kitchen tools will have their chance in spring 2024.

Iconic French cookware brand Le Creuset is coming to the Freeman Coliseum from March 21-24 for a rare "Factory to Table Sale" with limited-edition discounted products.

This will be the first time the sale comes to San Antonio, according to a press release. Le Creuset is well known for hosting infrequent sales, and has previously held sold-out factory sale events in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Retail prices for Le Creuset's signature Dutch oven range from $250 to $625, depending on size — so many people wait for a break on price. Products that will be on display at the San Antonio event will also have unique colorways, shapes, and styles that are "not typically found" in the U.S. or online, which adds to the event's exclusivity.

"Texas loves Le Creuset and we’re here to say the feeling is mutual," says Diane Foster, Le Creuset's vice president of retail, in the release. "We’re excited to kick off 2024 in the Alamo City just in time for spring entertaining."

Le Creuset has been perfecting its enameled cast iron kitchenware for nearly a century, according to its website. Besides its reputation for durability, the brand has earned notoriety for its wide range of color schemes that set it apart from other cookware brands that focus on stainless steel or black nonstick pots and pans.

In recent years (and keeping in line with social media trends), Le Creuset went viral in 2023 with the release of its pastel lilac "shallot" colorway.

The factory-to-table sale is a ticketed event, with a $10 venue parking fee. A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to Meals on Wheels America.

Special 90-minute VIP shopping sessions ($25 per person per session) begin at 10 am on Thursday, March 21. VIP sessions will include Le Creuset "mystery boxes" for sale that contain a minimum of $350 in product. The boxes are limited to one box per ticket holder for the day.

General admission shopping sessions ($10 per person per session) begin at 10 am on Friday, March 22, and run until Sunday, March 24. Additional discounts are available for members of the hospitality industry and military.
