Latched Support serves mothers, children, families, and communities in Bexar County with the mission to break through cultural barriers and to bring education and support for breastfeeding during prenatal and postpartum periods. They educate families on the importance, impact, and health benefits of breastfeeding through the first year of the child's life. Their goal is to raise awareness of the benefits to breastfeeding within communities which currently reflect a low percentage of breastfeeding mothers, specifically, African-American and Hispanic communities.
Donate here to support breastfeeding families or email hello@latchedsupport.com for volunteer opportunities.
Latched is developing a material assistance program to help clients with free services and items related to pregnancy and child care. Some of the biggest things they are in need of are diapers, baby wipes, new and gently used maternity clothes, new and gently used baby and toddler clothes up to size 5, baby blankets, quilts and bedding, baby shampoo, wash, powder, lotions, baby equipment (strollers, pack-n-plays etc.), new unopened baby cribs, and new unopened car seats.
In the summer, they will conduct their annual Material Assistance Drive.
