22 Years of Stone Brewing & All Bacon Everything at The Growler Exchange
To heck with birthday cake. Stone Brewing is celebrating its birthday with what we really want to eat: bacon. As part of the festivities, well-wishers can purchase a special bacon flight featuring creations like jalapeño bacon and chocolate covered bacon, then wash it down with exclusive tappings of Stone Brewing classics and new beers. The event is free to attend, and begins at 6 pm.

Bon Mange at The Cookhouse
Get hopping to The Cookhouse for an intimate dinner party hosted by the restaurant's chef, Pieter Sypesteyn. This month’s edition focuses on rabbit, with savory courses like crab-stuffed rabbit leg and zucchini “pappardelle” with smoked rabbit and mushroom sauce piquant highlighting the meat. For dessert, what else but a carrot chocolate flan? Seats are limited for this hare-raising tasting so nab your tickets now.

Saturday, September 1

Bacon Day at Snooze Quarry
Didn’t get enough bacon on Thursday? Head over to Snooze for a special menu celebrating one of the country’s favorite foods. For one delicious day, feast on one of three bacon-inspired dishes and register for a giveaway of a year’s supply of Tender Belly bacon. To keep the good time going, the brunch favorite is donating 10 percent of all sales from the day to the San Antonio Food Bank.

Blanco: Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ at The Hoppy Monk
The Hoppy Monk is hosting a Texas-style barbecue throw down in celebration of its Texas Hill Country neighbors: Real Ale Brewing and Andalusia Whiskey Co. Enjoy flights of Real Ale’s Brews, Andalusia’s select whiskeys, and a special featured cocktail all paired with barbecue from the Hoppy Monk kitchen.
