The Linda Pace Foundation will present an artist talk featuring acclaimed artist Lara Schnitger in discussion with Dallas Contemporary Deputy Director and Chief Curator, Justine Ludwig, and San Antonio-based arts and culture journalist, Sarah Fisch. This timely program is presented in conjunction with "Reclaimed," the Foundation’s current, all female exhibition that examines themes of nature, the body and diversity.

Schnitger’s 2005 mixed media sculpture, Dix-huit+, is included in the show along with seminal works by Laura Aguilar, Dorothy Cross, Judy Dater, Annette Messager, Lorraine O’Grady, Robyn O’Neil, Linda Pace, Tracey Rose and Kiki Smith.

The panelists will reflect on the artist’s career and the theme of female identity, which is central to Schnitger’s work. The talk will also speak to parallels with other artworks in the exhibition, as well address the ways in which art can engage current issues in the world of feminism, politics and art.
