San Antonio’s annual celebration of the Independence of Mexico is a musical celebration and historical re-enactment of Mexico’s call for independence from Spain that aims at becoming a long-standing tradition and an emblematic event for the entire community, regardless of their background. Special programming includes live Mexican music, Folklorico dancers, as well as food and crafts vendor booths.  The event will close with “El Grito” civic ceremony, by the Honorable Reyna Torres Mendivil, Consul General de México.
